The Paton-Churdan volleyball team lost in four games to CAM at Anita Sept. 29. Set scores were 14-25, 25-21, 19-25, 19-25.
Serving was off for the night with the Rockets serving at only 75 percent as a team. Sydney Koch led in serving at 13 of 14 for 93 percent and one ace. Jenna Beyers was eight of nine at the service line for 89 percent with two aces.
Koch also led in digs with 24 and in kills with 20. Carleigh Paup had 13 digs, five kills and 11 assists. Megan Carey had 11 digs and six kills, and Grace Geisler had 11 digs and four kills. Mariah Tasler had 14 assists.
“It was definitely an off night for us,” coach Hannah Boehmer said. “Although we did have some good moments, we couldn’t get momentum or shake our slow start. The girls put forth effort over the four sets, but were lacking the spark they usually play with.”
